The Doukas sisters began their career writing and producing short films. The Ryan Express, their feature debut screenplay, advanced to the second round of Austin Film Festival's Script Competition, a distinction only achieved by less than 20% of nearly 14,000 submissions. The Ryan Express is based on their short, “Rocket Man,” which was nominated for Best Short Film, Best Screenplay, and won Best Ensemble.
Sean P. Mcnamara, Director
Sean P. Mcnamara is an award-winning Irish American director, writer, and producer of family dramas, including the break-out hit feature Soul Surfer. Known as an "actor's director," he has worked with Academy Award winners and nominees such as Helen Hunt, William Hurt, Jon Voight, and Marisa Tomei and major movie stars like Pierce Brosnan and Dennis Quaid, as well as the new generation of talent, including Jessica Alba, Erin Moriarty, and Danika Yarosh.
Past films include Spare Parts, starring Tomei and George Lopez, based on the WIRED magazine article "La Vida Robot." McNamara has helmed many films and television shows, having written and produced the films Raise Your Voice (starring Hilary Duff), Hoovey, Field of Lost Shoes, and Race to Space.
James V. Hart, Producer
James V. Hart is an American screenwriter and author. He is best known for his literary adaptations, such as Bram Stoker's Dracula, August Rush and Hook. The primary focuses of Hart's most renowned works are family, fantasy, and adventure. Additional credits include Muppet Treasure Island, Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life, Epic and Contact.
Ric Nish, Executive Producer
Hailing from Montreal, RIC NISH has worked as an Executive Producer, Producer, Line Producer and Production Manager for over 20 years. Recently, Ric led the creation of the physical production division at Marvista Entertainment in LA and held the position of SVP, Production from 2016 to 2019 before heading back to his freelance producing roots.
His feature film work includes the titles Catch Me If You Can (starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken, directed by Steven Spielberg), The Terminal (starring Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta-Jones, directed by Steven Spielberg), and The Fountain (starring Hugh Jackman, directed by Darren Aronofsky). His equally impressive television credits include A+E/Lifetime’s movie series event V.C. Andrews’ Ruby Landry Saga and V.C. Andrews’ Heaven Casteel Saga (Leo Award best movie nomination for Web Of Dreams), Disney Channel’s The Swap, Syfy’s Ascension, Lifetime’s House of Versace and the series “Durham County” (DGC team award nomination).
