Robby is building a time machine!

With more focus on his mission than his present day life, Robby's two sisters, Spencer and Haley, and his warm-hearted grandfather, Dale "Pops" Griffith, find a way to motivate Robby's imaginative experiment and keep him in the present time.

After an exciting, physics-filled day at school, Robby disappears from the crowd of students leaving the school parking lot. It isn't long before his family finds him at the Community Ball Field reluctantly watching, in full uniform, as his former baseball team plays a practice game. Coach Matt, Robby's former coach, rushes out and strongly reminds the family that Robby is not allowed near the team anymore.

Distraught with how poorly his time machine experiment is progressing, Robby relives that fateful day that changed his life forever... the opposing pitcher taunts and antagonizes Robby after a strikeout. Robby charges the mound and puts the bully in his place. The outcome: Robby is kicked off the team for his violent outburst. His true ambition for building a time machine is revealed. He just wants to set things right.

Seeing how much this means to Robby, the Griffith Family takes matters into their own hands and puts the pressure on Coach Matt to allow Robby back on the team. Coach Matt, still grieving from the loss of his son to a drunk driving accident, finally sees the light at the end of that tunnel of redemption through Robby.

With Coach Matt's help, the Griffith family rallies together to make Robby's time machine experiment a success. The young boy's imagination and scientific prowess inspire even the most reluctant of the community to join in the efforts. Everyone except for Robby's estranged father, Eugene...
